Terms of use.
The rules for using this website. Product licences are agreed separately in writing with each club.
Who we are and what these terms cover
Scova Labs is being registered as a limited company in Malta (Scova Labs Ltd). Its company number, registered office and VAT number will appear here once issued. Contact: contact page.
These terms cover your use of scovalabs.com, including the demos, the pricing estimator and the forms. By using the site you accept them. Scova Athlete, Squad Lab and Partners are licensed to clubs under a separate written agreement; if that agreement and these terms differ, the agreement wins.
Who may use the site
The site is for people aged 18 or over who work in or with football clubs and other organisations. Our products are sold to clubs and businesses only, not to consumers.
Prices, estimates and quotes
- Prices are per club, per year, in euro, and exclude VAT. VAT is added at the rate that applies to your club's country and status.
- Amounts shown in pounds or dollars are indicative conversions at a fixed rate; contracts and invoices are in euro.
- An estimate is not an offer. Your price, seats and terms are set in a written order form signed by both sides.
- Every cost of a licence is shown on the pricing page or in your order form. There are no setup, onboarding, data or cancellation fees.
- The founding pilot discount (50% off a one-year contract) is limited to five clubs signing by 30 June 2027, and is never combined with a multi-year discount.
Our refund and cancellation terms are on the Refunds and cancellation page; what counts as a failure on our side is defined in the next section.
What we promise, and what counts as a failure to deliver
For clubs with a licence, we promise to provide the products, features, seats and leagues listed in the club's order form. We have failed to deliver if, and only if, one of these happens:
- Availability: a product is unavailable to the club for more than 1% of a calendar month (about 7 hours), not counting maintenance we announced at least 48 hours ahead and kept to no more than 4 hours a month.
- Missing features: a feature, product, seat allowance or league listed in the order form is not provided, or does not work as described in our documentation, for more than 14 days in a row.
- Data feeds: match and player data for a league in the club's licence stops updating for more than 14 days in a row.
- Club records: records the club entered are lost or damaged through our fault and we cannot restore them from backup within 5 working days.
- Security and privacy: we breach our data processing agreement, or a personal data breach happens through our failure to keep the security measures we promised.
- Onboarding: we do not set up the club's account, roles and access within 30 days of the start date, unless the delay is caused by the club.
It is not a failure to deliver when the cause is: the club's own systems, network or devices; use of the product against the agreement or our documentation; features labelled beta or preview; changes the club asked for; or events outside our reasonable control, such as a wide internet or cloud outage, war, natural disaster or a data provider shutting down without notice (we then work to restore the service or a replacement as quickly as we can). Forecasts and value ranges are estimates with stated confidence: a player performing differently from a forecast is not a failure to deliver.
What happens next: the club tells us in writing. We have 30 days from that notice to fix it. If we do not, the club may end the contract and we refund the unused part of any fees paid in advance, as set out on the Refunds and cancellation page. A club can also end the contract straight away if the same failure happens three times in twelve months.
Using the demos fairly
The demos use fictional players, clubs, brands and figures. They are not data about real people and not forecasts, and must not be relied on for any decision.
Please do not copy the site or its content in bulk, scrape it, use bots against it, get around the demo limits, try to reverse engineer how the products work, or try to break the site's security.
Who owns what
The site, the product names, the Scova Labs identity, the drawings, text and code belong to Scova Labs or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws (including Malta's Copyright Act, Cap. 415). You may view and print pages for your own work and share links to them. Anything else needs our written permission.
What you send us
Please give accurate details in the forms, and send only what we need to reply. Do not send health information, information about children, or confidential information through the site. How we use what you send is explained in the privacy policy.
Translated pages
The language menu opens a machine translation from Google Translate. It is offered for convenience and may contain mistakes. The English version of every page is the one that counts.
Availability and liability
We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it as it is and may change or pause it at any time. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from use of the site or reliance on its content, including demos and estimates. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Maltese law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malta, and the courts of Malta decide any dispute about them.
When these terms change
We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. The version on the site when you use it applies.
